When combining herbicides and young hazelnuts, a clean spray tank is essential! Younger trees are susceptible to damage from herbicides not typically used on hazelnut orchards. Glyphosate, 2-4D, and other herbicides can cause stunted growth, abnormal growth patterns in tree wood, and possibly kill the young tree.

When using only one herbicide rig, it is imperative before switching crops or chemicals that you clean and rinse your equipment thoroughly. Choosing the right cleaning process and tank cleaner will give you peace of mind and potentially save your young trees.
