Welcome to the Team: Greg Thorsgard, Chief Operating Officer/General Manager for HGO

We are pleased to announce that Greg Thorsgard has joined our team as the new Chief Operating Officer/General Manager for Hazelnut Growers of Oregon. In this position he assumes responsibility for management of all aspects of the business and

realizing our mission of becoming the largest processor of value added-hazelnuts in North America. 

Greg is no stranger to the nut industry. His career achievements include the role of Vice President Sales and Marketing at 

MaraNatha Nut Butter, where he was instrumental in growing that business into one of America’s largest producers of high-quality nut butters.  

Most recently, Greg was the Vice President of Sales for Pacific Foods of Oregon where he led their growth in sales from $20 

million to $280 million.  During these years he developed a strong team and distinctive customer relationships while working closely with marketing and operations to grow Pacific from a local food manufacturer to one of the most recognizable soup brands in the country.   

Greg brings an exceptional background and balance of experiences to HGO.  His ability to execute a business plan, knowledge of operations and his familiarity with Oregon’s Ag industry provides him with the insight to grow our Hazelnut business.
